OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG

YEEEEEEEEEEESSSS I've been waiting for a continuation FOREVER! I'm so glad you decided to come back to this project, its a favorite of mine, but all of your work is pretty well thought-out and executed imo.

Fan-gasm aside, actual review!
There's a frame limit? Jeebus, should've expected you'd be one to find it though lol.
Also, totally lame that you right out say they survived the crash, both in comment, and on the play button. I know its pretty obvious they did, but it killed the suspense immediately for me.
Arrrgggh it kills me to hear the audio quality still suffering on the voice acting, but I guess it can't be helped until better mics become available. I like the character designs, pretty sweet. Your art really has improved as well; as well as your camera play. Kudos. Also very pleased to see the new subtitle menu, legible, and doesn't disrupt the scene.
God I love Diggs. He's the best comic relief, seriously.
One animation complaint: when Link is falling, shouldn't his hood be pointing upwards? Or is he ascending? and if that's so, the mist should be falling, not ascending. But eh, whatever, not like physics really matters for that scene.

And the outtakes were just amazingly funny. xD
Ahhh so glad to see it finally out though, definitely turned a shitty day around. :D

Oh geeze....

I hate to vote based on this, because its such a stupid reason to blam... but please, PLEASE don't post video through macromedia flash. it is SO hard to make it work and still fit within the size requirements. An okay AMV at best, but this is the wrong place to post it, man. Try youtube.

The music quality was depressingly awful, the video was ridiculously blurry, and the text was actually more annoying that helpful to the AMV. I suggest removing the text from the scenes you used, and posting it at a higher quality elsewhere. other than that... I suppose good job.

Omg...

xDDDD That was perfect. Total brilliance, man. Completely captures the art of making newgrounds flash movies.

Heil responds:

yes it does

Wow, alot of hate.

You seem to generate a lot of hate towards you. XD; Haha, but it was a great flash. Very pretty, very well done. I liked the story, the animation, the general look of it; and absolutely perfect choice of music.

I don't know what some people are on, but not to be a passerby, I'll elaborate.

Animation/Art: Nice and smooth; realistic, and yet, cartoonish enough to fit the art style. I'm not too fond of the South Park style, but you seem to be well practiced in it, and not just using a bloody generator like most people. As before, very pretty, and beautiful art; no jagged, random lines, it was all very well planned and well placed. A bit too much obvious tweening though, which I suggest you try just a little bit harder to hide next time-- but you've made a lot of progress with that too I've noticed. Also, when she throws the paper at him-- why does a throw to the right suddenly become a throw to the left? just flip that one part, and it'll make sense. Also, when his old girlfriend slides inconspicuously back into the house; it looked horrible. If you want her to step out, you should show a leg bending back so it doesn't look like she's on a conveyor belt; it worked for the rest of the movie, but not there. Easiest way to get around that, is have her stay inside. I 'unno, but if I was her, I'd have stayed inside and slammed the door on his face. Maybe I'm just a cruel girl.

Sound: I'm rather tone-deaf, and miserable at detecting bad songs, or good songs; but it fit the mood of this flash perfectly. The timing as well was absolutely brilliant; it had me trying to keep from crying. And it takes a bloody lot to make me cry with a flash movie!

Story: It took me awhile to figure out what was going on; but I took your advice and watched the rest. That did make sense; but I'm still a little lost... who was shot? The girl, or the boy? I mean, it doesn't make sense for the bully to have been stalking him to England... wasn't he dumped? Did he go after her instead? It's a bit fuzzy and makes me gnash my teeth knowing there won't be a sequel explaining that. So, just for clarification, and closure on my part... who did that abusive imbecile shoot? Him, or her? Even the line said right before it, "The angel I've been looking for was with me all along... But it wasn't meant to last forever." makes me think that she was the victim. Other than that though... very beautiful. Short, sweet, and very emotional.

Maybe that's why the newgrounders hate you; the girls can handle a tear-jerker, but the boys think they're gay for thinking this is sad. XD
Ah well, whatever floats their boats.

Brilliant work, and I hope to see more works from you in the future. Let's hope this gets front page, yeah?

Cheers,

Skis.

Great Sprite Manipulation!

Haha, even my cat liked this one. XD great job, hope you do more.

Hmm...

I liked the song, yes, but I don't think the animation really promotes it too well... if this is something that is going to be posted on a website, which, if I may assume, it is, its actually pretty good. I just want to STRONGLY suggest stayed away from tile-ing the bloody picture. It pulls away from the image. Just make it larger, I want to smack people who tile. Its confusing.

Also, soften the snow a bit, it kinda looks like someone is pulling a transparent sheet over the picture that has salt on it.

And just noticed too, the rose border on the left is angled incorrectly, swing the bottom to the left so the white disappears.

Visually, audio-wise, sure, its ok; but visuals need to be tweaked a bit. good job though, I hope your friend likes it.

MisterFeelGood responds:

Thanks for taking the effort to write a real review. Makes me want to take the effort to write a response.

It's gonna be posted on his website indeed, containing nothing but a link to the animation.

I might change the snow as you suggest. The border is angled like that on purpose. It was made by another friend of his so I just used his painting.

Thanks again for the constructive critisism!

Pretty good actually...

Just one little problem... someone's already done this idea. ^_^; its like beating a dead horse.

However, if someone hadn't done something very similar to this, and this was the original, it would be very highly thought of.

I agree with the guy before me, this could've done with a few backgrounds. Also, sharpen the images on the BMPs used in the backgrounds that you did make.

Very nice controls though! They're brilliant! I wish I could figure out how to make buttons do that... sadly, I'm a newb.

Nice sprite animation, very smooth, rather flaw-free really. If you had just added backgrounds or effects to those white stages so it doesn't look so empty, I would've given you a 10.

Nice sound quality as well!

Also, work a bit on the drawn effects-- they're pretty great, but they look a bit bulky, add more shades, or make the colors more equal and it will actually look rather professional.

Pretty interesting, and welcome to Newgrounds. ^_^

hnn...

I admit it made me smirk, but its also a bit odd. Expand on the story a little, and move away from stick animation, I don't think it fits you.

Also, the scenes where Flaming Hand Man was solving the problems only solvable with fire flew by too fast, either start it a little earlier, or cut down on the stuff he's "solving" with his fire, because I really wanted to see how he'd handle it (as pathetic as that sounds) And I really don't feel like going through the movie frame by frame to figure it out.

Also, prepare for serious hate reviews, I have a feeling you're going to get hit hard. XD;

speakerblast responds:

Thanks for the preperation. Once again... It's about an old comic I made, which used stick people. Otherwise I would have drawn him.
